Biodegradeable Holiday Ornament
I created this project as an intern for the products department at Readymade Magazine.
We needed a do-it-yourself holiday ornament project that would be good for kids and the environment. I designed a solution that was quick, cheap, easy, and completely safe for children and the environment. Gum arabic is a food-safe adhesive that allows you to "glue" flour to the fronds of a pinecone with the look and feel of fresh powdered snow.
My product and D.I.Y. instructions were featured in a holiday issue of the magazine (Issue 20).
